We’re heading out west to Hallettsville today and having lunch at Novosad’s BBQ and Sausage House. 

The reviews are really good. I haven’t been there yet, but I’ll try to ride the route and check it out before we go.

The ride is Saturday, March 28th. We’ll meet at Republic at 7:30 with KSU at 8.

It’s about 150 miles to the place, and mapping software says we’ll arrive right about 11:00 AM. We’ve got a gas and rest stop planned for the ride out. We’ll have a nice lunch and take a pretty direct ride back. That ride is about 80 miles (about 2 hours) for the return. There’s another gas stop during the ride back.

THE ROUND TRIP IS ABOUT 230 MILES, AND A LOT OF THOSE MILES ARE IN AREAS WHERE THERE ARE NO GAS STATIONS. SO I’VE PLANNED TWO GAS STOPS. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE ROUTES AND TAKE NOTE WHERE THE STOPS ARE.

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.

Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior. Republic Chapter #1115 does not allow the use of alcohol or drugs before or during a riding event* and does not furnish alcohol at Chapter rides. Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride. Riders using alcohol or drugs while riding will be asked to leave the ride. It is the responsibility of each Template Chapter member to support the consistent enforcement of this policy
